I've always had the thought that Univega made crap bikes, but i've recently seen a few for sale new at premium prices, is that i've been blinkered for years or are the bike shops just trying it on? I have to admit, some of the new frames look quite nice.

Are you confusing Univega and Universal?

Estaban used to ride for Univega.

PS Friday lasted until 5am saturday. Consequently I got up at 3pm.

Quite often well specified, however pure and simple Taiwanese 'pick you frame from the catalogue and give us your logo to stick on it' frames.

They produced one or two good models, but had no consistancy to their ranges hence their struggle in the market.

I'd personally look elsewhere.

Cheers Neil, pretty much as I thought then.
