What about these, done them myself a few times but I was put on this earth to race so wasn't very good much better at social riding That said they are well organised and excellent courses.

That looks quite interesting. Can't seem to find an entry form for the autumn events. Am I being blind?
The November 4th one is reasonably close to me, so might aim to give that a go.
Did a couple of races when I was younger .... about 15 years ago ..... and wouls like to get back into it. Not aiming to win, just enjoy the satisfaction of completing the events, and hopefully not being last

There would not appear to be an entry form yet, I'd check a little nearer the time.
I found that although I enjoy the circuits I had real trouble managing my pace, so i'd steam off doing really well then be completely cream crackered and need to stop so usually managed a practice plus a lap or 2 laps before needing to stop, yet at the weekend I can do 10/20/30 miles off road with little bother but without the pressure of being in a race. After an hour or so I would feel ready to do another lap, so from that I deduced that I should stick to social riding that I enjoy and leave race's as something I watch

Can relate to that. Stopping for a breath and a swig every few miles, and having a chat along the way is what makes an afternoon enjoyable. Going fast for kicks, instead of chasing lap times is why many enjoy track days in their cars instead of club racing.
I just fancy getting out to some new places, and having a bit of a dabble at some races .... won't be under any delusions of being able to chase competetive times without ending up as a wheezing mess after the first mile

Spam biking events are great!
Also if you put "spambiking" into google is suggests that you might actually want to be searching for spanking! While not completly untrue, it's not completly related either!
