4 days with mates in (hopefully) sunny, dry Wales. We go around this time every year, but i've never been this unfit, so i'm a little nervous. I'll try and take a few pictures to share when I get back. Anyone else there this weekend?

I haven't a clue where we're going this time to be honest, the last two years we've stayed near Llandovery and done a mixture of MM trails or routes out of magazines, I think the guys have arranged something different this year, somewhere a little nearer to a curry house.

I'll be taking the Klein, I was thinking about something new this year, but for what I do it's still good enough, and it's uber rare too. I've upgraded the chainset though as the old one was a bit tired.

We are going to a place called www.braichgoch.co.uk which is 10 miles south of Dolgellau.

I can confirm that Wildcards is not in the greatest of shape but fatman (not on PH) is far, far, far worse.

I will be going on Friday night after a formal meal at work.

Should be entertaining.

Yes, it became rather apparent that i'm not as fit as I should be.

Anyway, we arrived Thursday lunch time and proceeded to attempt 'Mach 3', not a nice ride, very hard going and alot of steep climbs, one very very good descent though which almost made it worthwhile. Fridays ride was 'Cli-MachX' - Superb, 15km overall and 9km of single track, the final descent is 2.5km long. This was so good we did it again on Saturday. I'll get pics up when I get them.

Glad you had a good time, I'm always nervous that I will be the most unfit of the group but on descents the extra weight is an advantage. Get those pictures up fast!

I'm afraid i'm in most of them, but try to ignore that. I'm waiting on a few of the better trail pics from mates.

View from the digs

Me, knackered during Cli-MachX

Cli-MachX ascent without me in it.
