Hi Guys,
Does anyone have any experience of decent lights - either ones to go for or ones to avoid?
I fancy the idea of offroad night-riding once the evenings start to draw back in again, so I'm looking for something that will be bright enough to properly light up bridleways and fairly gentle singletrack. I'm going more for the "oh look - a badger" approach than moonlit DH racing, but on the other hand am not planning to do this on tarmac.
In terms of batteries, I'd like to be able to get a good couple of hours riding, but would like to keep the battery pack as small as possible. I'm thinking maybe something with a main beam / dip beam type option to help extend the life of a smaller battery? Having had a couple of painful experiences in the past, I'd rather not fit a bottle cage, so bar-mounted battery pack would be preferred.
Budget-wise, a maximum of around £300-350.
Cheers,
Chris.
