Storage Difficulties

I'm looking to get a new road bike but I have real storage issues.

My garage is tiny and completely filled by my car. The false ceiling doesn't look up to having a bike hung from it either. My shed's full of mower and other garden tools and I don't want to keep it in the house.

I've looked for a small narrow shed which would allow me to store the bike upright, but can't seem to find anything.

Any ingenious storage solutions out there?

the false ceiling must be fixed to something quite substantial...so why not attach your hanger to that?

Thanks - but unless I put that on the outside, I won't have room (the garage has too little wall space).

I don't particularly want to leave the bike at the mercy of the elephants...

Adjust so bike is flat against ceiling of garage (make it flatter by turning handle bars round flat to frame)?
