I am thinking about building a Titanium hardtail and these brands are amongst my current list. Does anybody have any other brands I should consider for a Ti bike?

Also anybody have a Moots?.. opinions, views etc, appreciated

Merlin, very nice but unfortunately its one of those things that is very personal to a rider, I prefer a merlin to a lightspeed, but they are both superb. The one I really wanted was the Yeti ARC ti that was an awesome frame.

A mate has just built up a bike using a Cotic Soda Ti frame, which he is pleased with.

I have to say i really recommend you look at or try a Cove Hummer, Stunning Handling, spot on geometry, made by lightspeed now, had a geometry tweak 05, was prevoiusly made by sandvick factory, you need to try the recent Lightspeed Factory built model, this is the one to buy.

I test rode one recently, my friend offered it to me to ride, so someone could try out my Cove stiffee . I was a bit sceptical at first as it was built up in a very race XC spec, but it was stunning to ride, it handled everything i would do on my own Cove, but a bit better, it soaked up all the trail buzz and felt like a XC full suspension and did it climb fast, wow and desend well to over the rough stuff. I thought it was amazing, the bike i rode was Silverfish, the importers testbike, so it may be possibe to experence it at at a testday in your area, check out their website for dates and details.
The price is about £1400 frame only, but cove dealers can offer a raceface groupset deal when you buy a frame at the same time, where you can save a lot of money and get a really good deal (this is what i did when i bought my cove stiffee FR).

I have a friend who is a cove dealer and does O% finance on mail order, PM if you want details.

Good luck on your titanium hardtail search, i am planning to get one too someday (when i have saved up).
