Not really. Sort of like the bike equivalent of maxed out Corsa. What sort of riding you going to be doing?

There are better bikes out there at that kind of money. Will sound like a broken record suggesting it, but a Specialized Hardrock is a good budget bike.

Also, Resin Pedals (from spec) = yuck They will break or bend and leave you stranded or injured.

If it is for your son then dont touch it, its not worth it at all.
Look on eBay cause you will get a much better bike for the money, if he is jumping on it, its going to get battered so needs to be able to stand up tp some heavy use. The one you looked at will die very quickly.

I'm a huge Commencal fan (got my 5th coming soon) and their MaxMax range would be PERFECT for your son dirt jumping.

http://www.commencal.com/bike/maxmax/

RRP is just £339 for the basic one (which is ideal for jumping... its a 26in bmx!). If you REALLY wanted to, you could then add a Marzocchi Dirt Jumper fork off ebay for not much more.

To be honest mate you cant get a bike with gears and suspension that will take a 'jumping' abuse for less than £500.
The best thing for jumping really is a BMX. Second best would be a rigid single speed MTB with either 24" or 26" wheels.
Trouble is that simple bikes such as these dont look that cool to most teenagers who want suspension and shit loads of gears.

If you wont get a BMX then I would recommend something like the DMR Drone, though there are plenty of alternatives, i'll point you in the direction of a few more if your interested.

Hope that helps!
