Has any Pher on here ever cycled the length of Britain ,Lands end to John o groats or vice versa

I would be interested in any experience , routes taken / back up , charity event comfortable daily milage etc.

DB - there's a couple from High Wycombe attempting the world record for a tandem trike soon...............2 days....lunatics but I can get the route from them if you need!!

If you google it you should find loads of blogs and reports on it.
I would reccomend joining the CTC [Cyclists Touring Club] and sending off for their 'End to End' pack that is filled with different routes and accomodation details.
Or you could go on one of their organised 'End to End Tours' and take advantage of someone else leading, some even have a back up van for luggage etc. The disadvantage of the latter is having the ability or freedom to do as you want like divert to points of interest etc. smile

I did John O Groats to Land End back in 1988. It took me 8 days and i had great fun. Also raied a fair amount for Gt Ormond St Hospital.

I would recommend anyone to give it a bash, although i was getting tired towards the end.
