What Tyre

running mavic MA40 rims with Hutchinson 700X20 excell on them, got a flint go through one, seems cant get them anymore, seems hard to even get a 20 anymore in cambridge area, what would you go for? should I go for a 23 which every shop sells, also what tyres go on the rims without too much of a problem as the MA40 do not have much of a inset in the rim if you know what I mean

try a gp4000 19mm continental?, very similar but perhaps more puncture resistant.They do however need big pressure to be fast which does make them a harsh ride.Was given the latest ones last month to try, pretty good really.

What sort of riding do you do?

most of the charity ride from 50 to 100 miles, in the week go out on the mountain bike to build up legs and pedal rate, as you know on a mountain bike if you dont pedal you stop !! once had some conti super sport, they were a basterd to get the tyres on and off, just what you need miles from nowhere cold and wet !!
