I've decide to buy a road bike around 10 days ago, but i am impulsive and wanted something asap, anything i looked at on Ebay seemed to make really strong money for 2nd hand, i'm no expert so could easily buy a pup, i wanted a carbon frame, jast for vanity, but hey i like trick stuff!
I visited Mike Vaughn in Kenilworth and ended up coughing for a Specialized Tarmac Pro 2006 frame and fork, which is 2nd hand but looked new to me, he didnt like it and PXed it for a TREK, the Spesh was £1199 when new for frame kit. I have specified Shimano 105 groupset and Mavic rims, carbon post, all brand new to be fitted and ready to pedal away on Weds hopefully. And the final bill....£1100. Was this a shrewd purchase or i have i been had in the bag? Joining Solihull Cycle club to make me get out there!

It looks like this, did about 20miles or so on it last weekend, was in Assen weekend just gone, so its the group thing weekend coming. But i aint going out if its p!ssing down! Excuse the mountain bike pedals but thats all i have at the mo.
