Rather early morning ride
Discussion
Went out to pub last night and after getting a lock-in there we formulated a plan.
About half 2 we decided to go for a little bike ride. Idea being to head up Stanage Pole in the Peak District and watch the sun rise from there. After getting pizza on the way home from the pub we all got changed and headed off about quarter to 3.
Luckily, from where we live we can ride straight out the front door and off into the Peaks along some fantastic trails.
Think we got to the pole about 4ish but the weather had closed in a bit by then and the view that we had anticpated was shrouded by the cloud that surrounded us. Was a bit nippy too.
Good fun though and a great downhill back from the Pole to the reservoirs.
Got home about 5ish and after showers headed to bed.
Big fry up brunch now and all is well in the world.

That's funny, 'cos at 3 o-clock I was just getting up to go and do the London to Brighton ride. I did consider just staying up to avoid having to get out of bed so early, but it was going to be a long day
