Hi guys I am an artist in my spare time from New Zealand. Some of you guys already know of me smile

Recently did my own bike build and custom painted a carbon frame in PPG Dulon paints.
The frame and fork are Reiker (made for NZ market) full carbon.
Wheels are Token with ceramic bearings and one piece bar are Token. (I couldnt bring myself to airbrush some zipps or cinelli ram bar frown ). Tape is real leather.
Components: mainly campy record, chorus ergo shifters and cranks.
There was about 40+ hours of airbrushing and wet-sanding involved, but overall a cool project. Weighs in at 7.5kg which is not bad.
The theme is from the Colnago special edition bikes with the Da Vinci art. I wanted to take parts of this art, combine it with ripped metal, rusty rivets with woodgrain. The look of the bike is meant to be of the da vinci era of how he would have made his own bike, hence the wood, art and rivets etc.

That is AMAZING!

Airbrushing always astonishes me. The detail is so intricate!

Any pics of the painting process?

You should do helmets in your spare time too. You'd make a fortune!

Luverly looking bike. thumbup

Out of interest, did anyone see the bikes made from wood by a mad dutch guy featured in cyclesport a couple of months ago? A different kind of art.
