Hello all,

if you're buying a secondhand 2005 Bianchi 1885 10 spd with a mix of xenon and veloce components, there's a slight chance it might be my one that was stolen this morning from my house (chained up outside) in South London.

the Frame code serial number is 2007570 and i'll be scanning ebay for it... now i really have to finish my stumpjumper just to keep mobile!

that's my second stolen Bianchi in a year, one from work, one from home. Thankfully i was insured this time.

Post some pics and details up on the cycling forums and contact local bike shops in case someone trys to trade it in.

Then get a few mates to back you up and head to Brick Lane Market on Sunday.
Many a stolen bike has been recovered there allthough not with much help from the old bill.

Really sorry to hear you've had a bike nicked, its a crap feeling. At least it's insured!

Found this site whilst trawling, seems to be full of stolen bikes! Might be worth keeping an eye out:

thanks for the tip about gumtree, that isn't mine, but confirms it's worth watching.

I hated that bike in February, but then put on kevlar tyres (no punctures since) and last week a new veloce cassette and chain and polished the thing, and i loved it again :-)

that's the universe paying me back for being angry at it... i want my two wheeled friend back though!

interestingly, we might have that cycle to work scheme starting at work, which would mean more expensive bianchi thief fodder coming if i can get it half price, otherwise it's an 8 mile commute into the strand on a stumpy fsr!

keep those bikes safe...
