Not exactly a race but had some very stressful stuff going on this morning and needed to vent. Option one was a damn fine burn in the TVR which has ben away for over 2 months and which I only got back yesterday. Option 2 was my two week old specialised tri-cross. Amazingly, I took the tri-cross for a ride. Back now, TVR's turn but felt so much better and was amazed that I took the bike over the car. Weird...

Anyway, on another note, riding with SPD's and a pair of good gloves is so much nicer on road than riding witout and the Tricross is supurb, although the brakes could be a bit beefier. Have to see if I can do anything about that.

Hey Pappa,

whenever it's a sunny day i have exacrtly the same dilemma, and do you know what, the bike wins every time i am afraid!!! The poor Cerbera sits languishing in the drive.

Worry not though, she does still get taken out every once in a while

Well, I'm a bit ashamed to say that I got the TVR out the garage and didn't drive it once, I went out on my bike all weekend and left the car sulking in the drive, I did feel a bit guilty but really loved the ride biggrin

TVR out on Saturday.

Bike out on Sunday. However, when I was replacing a tube (flat) by the side of the road and a Griff and Chim rumbled past, I did look enviously at them.

On a sunny day: bike normally wins.

I often left the cerb in the garage - somehow a bike ride was normally 90% likely to make me feel better etc whereas driving the cerb was at a much lower %.

If I can go for a decent run in the Cerb, without sitting in traffic then its amazing but just taking the bike out for an hour or two without having to worry about traffic jams etc is so nice. Plus you get to feel all virtuous about the exercise thing.

Wondering if I'll get time to squeeze in a ride tonight. Thinking I might be getting rather addicted to this whole cycling thing. Just a shame I am so damn unfit still!
