Myself and ten friends are riding the Round-the-Island route of the Isle of Wight over Saturday and Sunday, stopping off to visit the Isle of Wight Mountain Bike Festival on the Sunday morning. The weather is looking a bit pants though......

Coed-y-Brenin, as we're staying in Barmouth for the weekend, not sure what day yet, but taking my 7yr old.

First "proper" run out for my new Orange P7.

A fine upgrade.

Sold mine to a mate, and the lst I knew he was using it on his post round! Might see if he's still got it and hasn't abused it, and try and get it back smile

Coast to coast, Walney Isle (near Barrow) to Sunderland.
On my Orange C16R.
Is orange the flavour of the month?

Loos that way......

Although most on here seem to go Specialized....

As a Santa Cruz riding mate said at work.....

Specialized = Ford
Trek = Vauxhall
Marin = VW
Santa Cruz = BMW

Orange = Morgan

Orange = Morgan? One is made in Worcestershire out of wood, the other is made in Yorkshire out of spare girders from the old steel works! ;-)

I think Orange are a bit more utilitarian, so Land Rover would be a more fair comparison, but they are brilliant (i've got an '04 Patriot which will go a lot of places I won't)

As for riding, Swinley Forest for me on Sunday and Monday as I managed to crack a rib at Llandegla on Tuesday night and I need to take things steady.

I think the analogy was more "vintage" and "made in Britain" than anything else.

Llandegla is my local ride, being it's only 20mins up the road from me.....how lucky am I?

Did a lap of Cwmcarn yesterday after work. My first time around. By God, it's epic. Just need to learn how to do the uphill bits with all the rocky lumps - I was pushing by half way up the hill irked

Came back cold and wet after a ride around Forest of Dean. What made me want to post was the talk of old Orange bikes, kinda like this one thumbup

Still on original Suntour XC Pro levers, canti's and shifters. Everything else has been replaced over time. Still works like a dream and each shop I take it into gets the mechanics looking over it, lifting it and commenting how nice it is. I have however been looking at other bikes as this is really a commuter now but I can't consider front and rear susser, front is enough for now!
