Anyone know Pitch Hill?
Discussion
Location: Its the hill to the west of Holmbury, easy to find on a OS map.
I rode it for the first time this weekend, but have only ridden one climb and one decent (I was doing a circuit of Dorking - White Downs - Hackhill Downs - Winterfold Woods - Pitch Hill - Holmbury Hill - Leith Hill - Dorking.. phew!)
Was pretty good (very similar to Holmbury / Leith tracks to be honest), saw a fair few other Bikers there including lads walking up with DH bikes so must be some intersting ways off the hill. I came down the track heading North from the car park - fast decent, not technical but fun. Quite a lot of horses too though, so need to be considerate.
Worth a try - comparing it to Holmbury/Leith... I'd describe it as more of the same (which is good). Looks like a fun decent going south off the road at the top of Winterfold Woods too (the hill to the West of Pitch Hill) - sort of a leaf filled shute with a burnt out car at the top to start things off.

Sorry, I should've been more precise in my post! When I said I couldn't find "it", I meant the fun stuff on Pitch Hill, not Pitch Hill itself though!
Thanks for the rest. Gives me somewhere to start looking!

Try asking in - or joining one of the many rides out from - Nirvana Cycles in Wescott. Simon has really good knowledge of the area and the guys who lead on the rides know the area very well.
Sadly they don't have a lardy old git ride! I've got their maps though, which are pretty good, but again stick mainly to Holmbury hill.
