Spent a great afternoon riding the Marin Trail near Bewts-y-Coed on Sat. What a laugh. The long climb at the beginning which went on for ages wasn't a good start, but the views and some great sections of singletrack more than made up for it.

Thoroughly recommend it, although don't run your tyres too hard or you'll slash them on some of the punishing Welsh slate like I did... Mental note don't run 60psi for proper off-road riding

Anyone else here been round it??

Paul.

I was there 2 years ago, and still have very fond memories of it. Despite trying to get back last year I was outvoted everytime we planned a trip.

Rode it at the end of last summer as part of a long weekend away at Coed. Have to say that I prefered the trails at Coed but it was still (generally speaking) leagues above the North Downs that I normally ride.

Was there last year, the climb at the start isn't hard but takes a while.

Go there.

On a seprate note there is a mountain bike place called Coed Y brenin near (well bout 40 mins drive) from the marin trail. Apparantly they changed it but last time I went it was good.
