You know, as much as I get all silly and giggly over OCLV's, I don't get excited by the Y Foil concept.
As much as its a very rare and sought after model for triathletes due to its wieght, aerodynamics and damping abilities, it doesn't represent a road bike as it should be to me.
The Y Frame full susser was wild yet revoloutionary within the MTB world, however the Y foi frame just smacked of a company trying to jump on the damped road frame badwagon, the frame apeing the Look frame that started it all.
Theres two issues with that bike:
1. Its very small
2. Its going to go for silly money.
I'd bet on that going for about £800 at least - they still very much command big money as they are considered, like the Y Frame, an early technology that just simply worked, and well.
Now if it were a Specialized Allez in Carbon with full Dura Ace and Mavic Kyrilium (sp?) wheels, then I might get a bit giggly - they are cool

I used to have one, a Y foil 66. Really don't bother as they are not as great as you hope they are going to be. The frame felt "dead" to ride and the damping didn't really happen.
In the end I got rid and replaced with a lovely Principia RS6 Pro frame which is just so fantastic. Of course when doing the replacement I got a little carried away and went for Dura Ace and some nice Mavic Ksyriums

Principia *drool*
The only frame (MTB wise) that would make me drop the OCLV for it.
As a result rarer than cheap tax in the UK...

It is absolutely totally and b**dy gorgeous, those Danish chaps really know how to make a frame. I'd love to build an MTB with one of their frames but the cost could be scary

I raced one for a season thanks to a friend who was happy for me to do so. It was chuffing light and responded like a rock star in a drug dealers living room.
Simply up there with being one of the 'all time greats that no-one knew about'.

Excuse my ignorance, but I've never heard of them. What's so special about that company?
They make the most droolworthy aluminium frames - very well considered in road/tri circles, but obviously as they don't push their MTB frames very much, they are very very rare.
We only sold the one, and that was because we were a dealer at the time, and the chap wanted something different - this frame was - I kid you not, as light as the OCLV frames.
