Daft question, but is there such a thing as a quick release stem, or handlebars, for stashing your bike in a narrow corridor and not having to stab yourself in the ribs every time you walk past it?

Three options:
Allen key to loosen off the headset so the stem can be twisted without turning the wheel; or
Get a front loading stem that has a removable section holding the bars that clamps in place, allen key again to undo this as required; or
Drop the front wheel out and turn the bars and forks for storage.

Brackets to hang it on the wall so the bars are above head height?

Could work, but a DMR collision hurts enough on the shin, let alone the forehead!

I'd go with dropping off the front wheel and turning the bars flush to the wall.
Wouldnt bother with quick release stem (never seen one anyhow) its gotta be a weak spot if they made one anyway i would have thought. plus it'll look crap!

I'd go with dropping the wheel out as well. By far the quickest and easiest of the options.

I could imagine that a quick release stem could be quite a nasty spot to get your tackle engaged with in an off!
