Cannondale Prophet or Rush ?

I have a hankering for one of these bikes with the saucy, gravity defying Lefty fork. Anyone have any experience good or bad with these bikes?

Useage would be XC single track. I am 6ft 2" /95kg. I suspect I will need an XL frame raather than L.

Both should do you grand. Rush is a slightly lighter bike I believe, Prophet more for bigger trails.

Give one of the bigger bike shops a call in your area and get a few demo rides.

I bought a Rush 600 and am very happy with it.
I'm 6'2" and around 85 kilos, and find the large frame to be fine.

I think the XL would be too big- I did try both before I settled on the L.

The only thing is that i still don't quite trust the Lefty...

since my first post I've actually tried an "L" in the shop, which I felt was surprisingly good for my size, but the kid there measured me up, did that plumbline thing from my knee to the pedal and told me that I did indeed need an XL. I rode an XL that they had in the shop, and it did seem to be about right. Although I'm a svelte 6'2", my back is disproportionatley longer than my legs, so it just pushes me over the limits of an L.

Still want a Lefty, still nervous about dropping GBP 1-2K on the wrong bike.

I'd be careful- if you have a long back then the solution might well be a longer stem.
I wear 34" trousers, and the L was fine for me- so if you need more room it might be top tube/stem length that you need to get right.

If you are near London then feel free to come have a go on mine to find out what it is like when used in anger!

Thanks very much, Dammit. There are a couple of Cannondale test days nearer to me in the next few weeks, so I'll try both sizes.
