Now after my little fall at Christmas resulting in my first broken bones in 20 years of riding like a nutter it's put me in a difficult position.
When you talk to 'the olds' and 'sensible people' they seem amazed that I've not put the bike on eBay and seem shocked when I tell them I can't wait to get back on it but to me the last 7 weeks without riding have been hell, I'd almost say I've missed riding more than driving. scratchchin
And the extra time I've had sat on my arse being unable to do anything have allowed me to get back in contact with a few old riding contacts and I'm very tempted to get back into the racing scene after a LONG gap and have a goal to get back on the bike by mid March to go along to my old home track for one of their winter races, but I'm quite doubtfull of actually racing.
My worry is I'll not be able to push as hard as I want to because at the back of my mind I'll be thinking about the damage I'd do if I hit the weak knee again but then I think that most top level riders I know have got more metal in them than bone and still ride like nutters. rotate

I am tempted to pad up more often now, even though pads wouldn't have saved me at Christmas, but am I a screw loose (hopefully not one of the new ones in my leg paperbag) or is it just normal? scratchchin

Get back out there and just take it easy, relax back into it.
