Front sproket (chain wheel?)

I'm after a something to stop my trouser getting caught on the chain wheel, does such a thing exist, currently using an elastic band!

There is the old purpose designed bicycle clip. That will work better than an elastic band, and also prevent Gangrene setting it by riding around with a tourniquet round your foot.

I assume that you require this for commuting?

If not, buy some proper cycling trousers (or shorts) that will be fitted to minimise this.

Nope just for larking about, its not a problem if I'm intending to use the bike as dress appropriately but some days I park the van in the garage & jump on the bike & mess about, which I did yesterday (forgetting my elastic band...) which resulted in my trouser leg catching said sproket while pulling a wheelie & down went Blair DOH!
