Day out in South Wales next weekend.

How many of you guys are within striking distance of here?

A few friends and I are planning a journey down next Saturday morning (10th February) to give 2007's mountain bike season a proper kick in the saddle.

Whether we'll do more than one circuit is a different matter.

Anyone else fancy venturing out for a ride?

Planning to do a ride on the Sunday, perhaps at Cwn Carn or Afan. Can't do the Saturday sadly.

Sunday is recovery day before going back to work.

I wish more counties paid as much attention to creating trails as South Wales.
Cwn Carn is excellent, with a really good trail of with 90% is single track.

Afan even better, with more than just the one trail. You can easily spend a weekend there.

However, Brechfa Forest is the best I've sampled Quite a long trail, but the final couple of miles are just excellent. All downhill with plenty of burms, jumps and technical sections.

Can't really go at the moment though, too busy working
