Well there are tonnes of threads of "whats your dream car?" etc. But what about bikes?

Mine would be a Brooklyn RaceLink DH bike. Just cloud9 them and hopefully will buy one later this year.

Its still got to be a trimble for me, its a mountain bike from the 80's/90's carbon boom tube design, very retro and very rare. Failing that a pre-trek yeti arc, or if im being greedy a c26.

Maverick ML 7.5

And I already own it! If money was absolutly no object it would have had XTR instead of XT, but theres nothing else I would change.

So many to choose from it would be a close call between a Colnago fixed or a Titanium framed fixedwheel starting with something like this

Good choice, there is something very nice about fixed, I would always use my fixed if the roads were in the slightest bit frosty so much more control, it really cant be beaten.

I do a fair amount of cycling on the commute to work, so it'd be pretty cool to have a folder that would double up as a decent off-road bike.

So it'd be an Airnimal Black Rhino for me :

It'll set you back about £2,300. Now uses the rohloff rear hub. No way would I chain that up in the car park outside the office. It'd sit nice and warm in the office by my desk.

Was chatting to a guy on the train a few nights back, he had one of the cheaper Airnimal Joeys, looks a good bike, okay doesn't fold as small as some others around, but he stated that he'd done triathalons on it. Not bad going for a "commuter" bike.

Never ridden one, or actually seen one in the "weave".

Money no object, I'd love to spec up a really light weight and strong Ibis like the one below. The fact that it looks a work of art is just a bonus

I think that Stif are the main agent for the frames. Check them, and be sitting down!

Is that price correct with the dollar symbol? Is that the US price? That's very cheap with the current exchange rate.

I fear that that may be a typo as the UK price is roughly that in pounds

Best keep saving .... not that my fitness, commitment, or skill could ever fully justift such a beast.

That is the price from the ibis site with a fairly decent fox rear shock, looks like importing your own is a much cheaper way

You are a bad man Matt, I ended up looking at the Stif website last night, not done that for a few years.

I had to chuckle painted it is more expensive than naked, personally they can keep their paint. Reminds me must see what Richard Cunningham of Mantis and Nishiki Alien fame is now producing.

Agree 100%. It'd have to be bare carbon for me. You don't wanna spend all that, then have to TELL people it's carbon fibre
