Just got myself a set of atacs and a set of lake shoes for the mtb.

Are they any good? seem ok but you guys probably know better!

I don't have any experience with Lake shoes but ATAC pedals work very well, especially in muddy conditions when other pedals get clogged.

I like Time ATAC pedals; in addition to being pretty good in the mud they're kinder on your knees.

Just fitted ATAC pedals, more movement than my old Shimanos so beter for my old knackered knees, easier to clip in but harder to clip out for some reason. Better in mud as I found out whilst cycling around Clumber park 2 weeks ago, very wet in parts.

PS Thanks to the 2 blokes from Belper who put me on the right route when I forgot where I was going. That will teach me to rely on my memory for a route I hadn't ridden since last winter.

I've got Atacs on both my MTB and road bike and really like them. The only downside is that there's no adjustment of the tightness but that's not really a problem. They have more float than my old SPDs which I find more comfortable.

I used ATAC for a long time, however I got hacked off with the way my cleats slid over to the edge of the pedal.

Also, using them in anger whilst racing meant that I commonly found myself slipping off the pedal if trying to ride 'on-top' of the pedal in a situation that required me to be clipped out.

As a result, and added to the fact I could never ride anyone elses bikes, I went back to SPDs.

Great pedals, but limited in certain areas.
