Just been for a night ride, fell off three times, twisted my ankle and knee AND manged to fall in dog shit. Not all that pleased with my new lights, I think I'm too old for all this!

When riding off road at night, I use 12w beam and 20w flood (lumicycle) that is plently bright enough and really inspires confidence to ride far too fast (and of course fall off) colleague has a 20w and a 35w flood. Like riding in daylight...might be that yer lights are not quite bright enough..

TBH I think it's lack of ability.

I went out for a play in the woods the other night and discovered that I've completely forgotten how to ride in deep mud - just shows what a dry summer its been! headache

I've just got myself some of these, haven't had a chance to try them out yet though.

Be interested to hear how you get on Adam. Where do you ride?

I think I read on one of the MTB forums (either bikemagic.com or whatmtb.com) that if you swap out the supplied bulbs with better quality ones (not necessarily higher wattage), then the Electrons can be significantly improved. Might be wrong though

Yep, thought I'd read it somewhere, mentions upgrade bulbs from Maplins in this thread

I live in Gillingham, but recently I have been riding with some friends who live in Snodland, so have been out around that area. Only been riding again for about 4/5 months after a good few years with the bike gathering dust in the garage! Hoping to get to Bedgebury Pinetum in the near future as well, to try out their new trails.

We've been going out in Bedgebury for a while, it's well worth the drive over but does get very muddy when it's wet so try and pick a dry spell. I live in Maidstone and have been going on Wednesday evenings but now the lights going and it's getting wetter we are probably going to look for some easier to go.
