was looking at the trek 1000 for around £500 but this seems like a bargin to me!!

Remember those pedals aren't included in that price; you'll get some bog standard clips and straps affair. If anyone is interested I can get good prices on Giants like this for around £500.

But to be fair after saving a good £200, £50 pounds on a set of pedels still makes this a bragin

I'm not sure if it's worth £700 though in the first place. Good at that price mind.

Chap in the shop said he would change the pedals if i wanted.

I'll see if i can blag a decent set, any recomendations?

If you're after clipless, I'd go with Shimano SPD SL as most new shoes (as of last year, 05/06) seem to only offer this fitting SDP-R is now basically defunct. All the range is good, no point in spending silly money on Dura-Ace though in this case.
