After being shown up by Neil due to all his XTR cranks and bling... thought I'd show off my helmet (oh we need Podie or Vixpy in here for some gags...)

Felt a bit noddy riding in this morning having zip-tied a light to my helmet.

Oh well. Not long until it'll be dark in the mornings and it won't look so silly then...

Tried to get some spares for my helmet yesterday... to be told that its so old the spares aren't even made any more, let alone stocked

How much is one of these lids? I've got a bog standard bike helmet jobby but if I start do crazier things, I think i'll need more protection.....

how about if I just wear my motorcycle lid! Apart from looking like a total numpty, it's got to provide much better performance than the MTB equivilants. Afterall, it cost me shy of 400 quid!!! rolleyes

The carbon full faces are a couple of hundred. You can pick up a decent full face for £80ish though.
