Its a lovely day outside, perfect for cycling.
Which is a shame, since I can't go out on the bike today.
Pulled the bike out and noticed the front was flat. No problem, inner tube out, pump it up, can't find the leak anywhere. Check the tyre, no sharp bits, oh well could have been that the valve wasn't tightned fully. Put it back in, pump it up.........psssssssssst! Discover that the valve is coming away from the inner tube. Oh well, bin it and put my spare on. Pump it up.......psssssssst! Pull it off, find a hole. Patch the hole, play the piano for a bit, put it back in. Pump it up.........pssssssssst!
Now getting annoyed, I pull it back out, find another leak, and patch that! Play the piano for a bit more, then check the tyre again. Find a tiny sliver of glass in the tyre that only pops out when the tube is inflated. Get rid of that, put it back together again, pump it up and finally off I go.
Well actually I don't go anywhere, because..........psssssssssssst! Another puncture, on the side of the tyre in another spot!
I've admitted defeat, I'm off to the shop tomorrow to buy a couple of new inners and a new tyre. The damn thing is probably full of glass by now.
