Anyone ride a Scott Genius , or Mongoose Teocali ?
Discussion
Hi all - I'm looking to replace my hardtail with a 5" full-susser for around £1100 - £1500 ish.
I quite fancy either a Scott Genius MC 30 or 50 , or a Mongoose Teocali (Elite or Super ) - does anyone have any expereince of these - both have good reviews , but also maybe some quirks :
Is the Scott a bit tricky on technical single track as some reviews say ? ( forward set cockpit ? )
And the Mongoose has a floating bottom bracket .... not sure how that rides?
....I'm currently searching for somewhere that has some demo bikes (Bucks , Herts , Beds area )

Ive got a Scott MC30 (2005 version with alu frame). Although Ive not ridden much to compare it against, it is a little more "racy" in position than some but I really love it, copes absolutely fine with everything I can throw at it, and although Im by no means an expert rider, most of my riding is done around the South Downs where I can happily keep up with most of my more experienced mates (riding Orange 5s / Patriots & Ellsworths etc) on the local hilly/technical singletrack. The only time I think it might be a bit much is if you were doing proper downhill runs in the Alps etc, but despite being a 5" travel bike, its designed as a fairly lightweight XC bike so thats not what its meant to be good at.
Pedalon have demo bikes I think, not exactly in your area but only 10 miles below Reading so not a million miles away
