Apologies if this has been done before, I couldn't find a thread.

I'm looking to get the Wahoo Kickr Core so that I can still train over winter.
I don't mind going outside in the cold, but it's very boggy where I live so it'll be easy for me to think "nah" and stay indoors.

It will be set up in the garage, on a mat and I'm hoping to stick a decent fan in front of the bike.
I'm a bit concerned about the amount of dust in the garage that might be kicked up by the fan but won't know until I give it a go.

Just wanted to see what you guys have in terms of a set up. We have a baby coming in November so the spare room is no longer spare, I'd be setting up in there otherwise!

My setup which I started in October 2017 in my garage.

A Tacx Neo with my Canyon Aeroad mounted.
I use my iPhone for remote control for Zwift and also a remote for the fans, which I would start after about 10-15mins into the workout.

I have a V1 Kickr bike - a cheap 42" TV on the wall, Zwift running on apple TV - the Wahoo desk and fan - I use an iPad for Youtube / Netflix / Spotify etc - all in the garage with my proper bikes, treadmill and unfortunately all the other stuff that has to live in the garage.

It's hard to get a decent picture of mine as the back is against the wall and to the side is a multi gym.

The rocker plate is brilliant, as is the Neo Smart bike. Fan has a remote and I also have aircon in the garage.

I run it off my MacBook onto the TV. iPad for when I want to watch TV and Spotify on the Echo.

Might be a daft question but what's the benefit of the rocker plate?
Does it simulate the side to side lean you get on a "real" bike?

I've seen various tennis ball versions on eBay but was never sure what they were for

It just makes riding a lot more comfortable to be honest. The only limiting factor for me now is boredom.

And it's much easier to sprint at full potential as you can replicate the side to side movement.

Edit: I meant to say the one I have also does forwards and backwards on a slider. Feels great.

A bit crowded, and tucked into a corner of my garage. Recon desktop PC, ebay monitor. Towels to keep sweat off bike. Big fan with plug/switch on the right there on the table, which I can reach while riding (takes me about 7 minutes to warm up enough usually). A pair of decent speakers have appeared either side of the table since that pic.

To see if a rocker board would help me, I cut up a camping mat and put several layers under the turbo trainer and its legs. Sore bum time went from 30-odd minutes to 2 hours+ ... and the camping mat is still there, doesn't seem any point in spending any more!

I did the same to start with using the rubber they use in playgrounds. It worked very well and for £15 it was a bargain.

Here's mine. It's changed a little bit since then with some more bikes dotted around.

Very nice, you also have the same wall brackets as I do for mounting the bikes.
Can't believe I hadn't thought of stacking them on top of each other, mine are side by side and it takes up a huge amount of wall space.

I have unbelievable amounts of crap that I really don't need in my garage, all in boxes and on shelves, I reckon I could easily halve what I have and have room for a decent setup in there.
