Previously I barely used my bike as I didn't had the best health/stamina, maybe max 50-100km per year for the past years.

Got an ebike and in 4months I have already covered 1100km on it just riding around everywhere with it.

Somehow now when I try to use my regular bike I feel I'm MUCH Fitter now and Can Ride my Regular bike without much problems.
I guess just being outside on the bike almost every single day still gives a HUGE benefit.
The weirdest part? I used Throttle 99% of the time and Didn't even pedal the thing...

Nice thinly veiled wind up post.

I'm 56, never cycled since school. Bought an EMTB, now I go hard up hills to try and win KOMs and am absolutely fitter and stronger than before. And.. I'm having a fab time with mates and awesom views in our beautiful countryside.

Eat me.

(quoted because I've a suspicion you are pissed and will delete it)

That is weird.
You post about a cycle, but sounds like you're using a motorbike?

One ban coming up in the (sadly) unlikely event you're caught by the plod.

Even riding an ebike with a throttle is better exercise than watching TV. using an ebike by peddling it is far better exercise than watching TV. Yes Lycra clad cyclists will mock, call you a cheat, but I find riding past them on a hill shuts them up ,or at least I can't hear them after a few minutes.

To be fair, you can have a legal PEDALEC ("ebike") that has a throttle - but I suspect that 99.99% of electric powered bikes with a throttle are illegal motorbikes, and so should have tax, insurance, MOT, valid license and not use cycle lanes, shared paths and similar.

But then then in my experience the 99.99% who use illegal electric motorbikes do got give a flying f***k, happy to break law, and tend to respond to their illegality badly.

I used to tell myself this and be quite an evangelical about the health benefits of e-bikes, but I think I was just kidding myself. My e-bike broke and been in the garage for a year, and I've been jogging and cycling instead, and it's night and day really. Less miles and less time in the saddle, of course. But much more time zone 2 and up.

If I had the discipline to not use turbo mode, then it would be a different story, but that is definitely not me. The opposite, really. I chipped the bike to let me go any speed.

Better than sitting on the couch sure, but if you are motivated enough to run an e-bike for health, it's perhaps likely you are displacing other stuff that would have happened

YMMV!

Not at all. Almost all the chinese electric bikes on Ebay and Amazon come with a throttle option - the sellers vary in their discretion on the feature. They are most definitely electric bicycles, but , if you follow the letter of the law, they become motor vehicles. Most of them top out at 20mph on the throttle alone and anyone can pedal 20mph unassisted.

In a world where we are trying to get people out of cars its not surprising that, outside London, their illegality is largely ignored.

Isn’t that the point? Once you start having a throttle and a 20 mph assisted speed then you’re no longer covered by ebike (EAPC) regulations. So you end up being more of a motorbike (and not a legal one).

Of course, but, its largely ignored. If Ebikes were controlled as tightly as motorbikes it would kill the uptake, and who wants to do that when its getting cars off the road? My Ebike has reduced my local short car drives by almost 100%, and that's with no throttle.
