Out on the bike yesterday into Glasgow to buy some venison. Great choice. Traffic was mental. Defo faster there and back than driving. Stopped at Tesco on the way home. Came out to find rear tyre flat. Couldn't phone home for lift as Mrs IRC had friend over for a pre Christmas drink.
Couldn't be bothered fixing the tyre on a wet and muddy bike so I pushed it home in 20 minutes.

And the good parts? First puncture for months. Happened when almost home. When I looked at the tyre there was a huge thorn still sticking out so no hunt the tiny piece of glass or wire came to play when I fix it. Plus when I fitted the tyre it was perfectly sized and we t in hands only so a quick job to fix in my clean dry shed when I get round to it.

Naturally the fleet is large enough that immediate repairs are never required.

Merry Christmas all.
