Pas Normal – fashion, flexing or fantastic quality?

I've not got any but have had a look at some of the kit in Sigma and it doesn't stand out as anything special. It's often half price on Sportpursuit but even that hasn't tempted me to purchase, mainly because I think the branding makes you look like a tit
Sigma are a fine shop (mostly) But they do have this habit of getting upstart companies products in, (looking at you Black sheep, Maap, and latterly PasN) telling the world its amazing, and then of course no one buys it so they stop selling it. And revert back to focusing on Gore, Castelli and Assos which people DO buy. (with now Rapha making a return)Got a mechanism jersey from Sportpursuit when I thought we were going to have a summer. Chose the mechanism as it appears a bit longer than the solitude jersey (it's still short at the front like a lot of new jesrseys) although the branding is more subtle on the solitude.
It appears to be very well made - little touches like reinforcing patches in the corners where the seams of the pockets join, decent zip etc. It's very tight, very stretchy and feels like a skinsuit to put on. In a light colour, it's also slightly see through. For hot rides it does the job well.
Normally a L (38-40) in Rapha gear but I went for XL as I suspected they come up small and was not wrong. Combination of tight and slightly see through means your body fat can be estimated, by others, to within 1% so I'll be holding in the belly at cafe stops.

I guess Sigma is seeking to sell what’s trendy. That said, at a discount, I nabbed a pair of MAAP Evo tights – perhaps MAAP’s most praised product – and found Evo tights lived up to their hype. But I wouldn’t buy any of the brands mentioned above at full price.Value Vs Cost
PAS Normal is the best premium kit on the market, IMO.
Comfy for hours and hour, very well built, I can't complain. I've just done a 2hr soaking wet ride in PAS gear - all of it at least 5yrs old, still perfect. Doesn't wear out, waterproofing upheld, chamois still comfy.
