Specialized Allez 2012 - Choice of non clip-less pedals?

Hi,
Just purchased above via Ebay to get back into road riding. Retro & classic is more my previous cycling, be it mtb or road.

Wanted something a bit more current, this bike is modern by my standards! Bike has Shimano clipless pedals. Given my reintroduction to road riding is going to be demanding enough for me, and at 64yrs old too old to learn new tricks, what would be a good normal set of pedals to fit.?

If it was a classic steel road bike I would know where to look and what to fit.

Get some big flat pedals to start

Can't say I've had any problems with the basic plastic pedals that often come with lower end road bikes.

If you ask around someone is likely to have some they don't need knocking about.
