Anyone a chain expert?

Hi all, I need to change the chain on my eMTB and was looking for the best I can buy.

The bike originally came with a KMC X10 according to the website specs, although I do see that the chain I am replacing is a KMC E10T so I guess the previous owner has not followed the original spec.

Are KMC the best? Is a X or E range a better chain? Should I consider alternatives?

I think... E10 refers to eMTB.

Some manufacturers make chain versions explicitly for e-bikes. Whether this is just marketing or whether the chains are actually different I don't know.

I can imagine an e-chain might be stronger.

Price-for-price I think all the manufacturers are comparable.

I contacted KMC support and they confirmed the E10 is the better option for my bike, so I ordered a replacement.
