Neglected bike - Fox shocks
Discussion
I bought Giant Anthem 29er 12 years ago, which I ride most weekends for general fitness and fresh air enjoyments. I've literally done nothing to it service wise in all that time, apart from brake pad changes and the occasional chain oiling.
Are the shocks serviceable DIY, or even serviceable at all? The front shocks seem OK still but the rear one is weeping oil a bit.

Forks are generally home serviceable. However I've found fox aren't as friendly to dismantle and fix as rockshox, which are super easy.
Your rear shock may have an additional nitrogen charge, I'd advise to get that send to a suspension service place.
That said it only cost me £180 last year to get both fork and shock serviced. Hardly worth my time and effort (especially if I messed up).

If I've been riding a particular bike a lot I'll do an air can service on the shock and a lower leg service on the fork, but generally they go to Silverfish's Fox service centre once a year.
You might also want to consider replacing the pivot bearings. I usually do them on my Orange whilst the suspension is being serviced (but on Orange there are only 2 bearings).

Thanks guys, I will look into a pair of overhaul kits
I'm considering moving the bike on as my lower back doesn't agree with mountain bikes on long road rides anymore, so I'll spruce it up and sell it I think, or maybe trade it in.
I'm amazed the shocks haven't collapsed after so many years of neglect!
