Just did first Velodrome session - when do I buy the gear?

First Velodrome session completed today.

First time on a fixed gear bike as well.

Absolutely loved it so have signed up for the next session.

I have zero gear bar a helmet that I use on my electric cargo bike (!)

Everybody else at the track looked like they were entering the Olympics - especially compared to my in my gym kit.

When do I crack and buy the “gear” and where an earth do I start? EBay? Any recommendations on a set of track gear to start with?

If you’re London based www.lfgss.com has a busy classifieds and all the rest to go with it.

I’d keep using their hire bikes (if we’re talking about the Lee velodrome) and get a nice pair of shorts and top. Shoes and mitts too.

Once you’re up past/know you’re passing level 4 I’d then look at a bike
