So where did you go?

I did the north and south loops at Whinlatter and it was surprisingly quiet for a boxing day - we had a snow shower on the top of the south loop. Bomb holes were full of water so we came back very wet and cold - however that was quickly rectified with a few beers in the Wainwright in Keswickbiggrin

A great ride though, Whinlatter is superb value for a compact MTB ride you can do in less than 2 hrs and the downhill at the end of the north loop is the icing on the cakesmile

I rode along part of the Cornish coast, a little out and back through porth, watergate bay and mawgen porth, before looping around St eval and heading back. Short, but hilly and fun.

Went to my local woods first thing….it was eerily quiet at 8:30 this morning laugh

There are lots of short DH runs, so I spent a couple of hours dicking around, it was pretty slow and very slippy but better than sitting at home!

I get to drive the Watergate to Porth road twice a day on my commute. Lovely roads around St Eval too, blessed.

If I cycle to work I usually take the cliff path.

It was fair pissing down with rain (despite being summer here and 28 deg forecast) so I left it for another day.

Dry but cold-ish here, 30 (road) miles inc. Box Hill

Having driven into a height restriction with the bike on the roof on Christmas Eve - no where for me today frown

Yep - usually go for a blast on the local trails whilst everyone is loafing or at the sales, but predicted rain and thunder put paid to that.

Managed a short ride on the ebike to take PBJnr3 to his mate’s house, which is always fun

Christmas day antics put me completely out of action yesterday and now the weather has turned back into sideways rain for the foreseeable so back to Rouvy on the smart trainer for me....

Up and over the Nick O’ Pendle just outside Clitheroe. My slowest time ever, which is testament to my age and current fitness. A good kick up the arse to be sure!

Oft.

I’ve done it once…the height restrictive was painted pale blue and didn’t really stand out on a clear day and I was having a Doris moment. Aside from a dead carrier and a broken mech I got away quite lightly really.
