Hybrid - what component to upgrade next?
Discussion
I haven't bought anything for my bike for ages and I have an itch to spend some money but what should I upgrade next?
It's a Pinnacle Neon Hybrid. I have some upgraded wheels and tyres I am happy with and also upgraded seat post and seat. It has SRAM Level brakes and SRAM Apex 1 x 11, would changing one of these see a decent improvement? I do prefer to spend money on components that could be moved along to a better frame at some point.
Bike is 3 years old and has a particularly hard life as I use it for pretty much everything as it is my main form of transport as well as a fitness tool.

Decent set of new cables and a new chain would give you the biggest perceived improvement. New grips to freshen it up too.
Never thought about cables so that's a good call. I get through a couple of chains a year so I like to think I am on top of that.New grips and maybe a new handle bar or stem could be an idea as well. A slightly more upright riding position would definitely be more comfortable.

If you're basically happy with it, surely the best upgrade is another bike?
A cheap old MTB or road bike for the rides where the hybrid isn't ideal?
I hate the idea of owning 2 of anything to be honest but also storage space is the main concern I guess.A cheap old MTB or road bike for the rides where the hybrid isn't ideal?
I do like the idea of owning just one thing and fettling it.
