I don't hate it but it doesn't look 'right', it clashes which can work sometimes but I'm not sure it does, would need to see it IRL

The green is a gamble, green and purple you risk it looking like The Hulk (Good/Bad you decide).

The brown will def work.

Depends what you mean by does it look alright. If you like it then that's all that matters surely?

However it looks ok as red is a compliment of purple (as is blue for obvious reasons) , ie it doesn't clash.

Yellow is the opposite of purple so that would work too, but it depends on the shade of purple whether you go toward orange or green with the yellow. (not always easy to tell on a web pic due to different screens displaying colours differently).

Personally i think it looks good. All this black saddle so black bar tape drivel winds me up a bit (says the man with black saddles and black bar tape on all but one of his bikes )

If Sram, yes. They do white ones, which if mine are anything to go by, will go grey quite quickly.

I like it. I think a bike looks good if there is a bit of a clash. Doesn't mater what colour MTB I have....it always has yellow grips. Dunno why. Just my thing.
