I had some forearm pain a year or two ago. Don't think it was caused by riding, but I definitely noticed the pain/ache when I was. I turned my brake slightly inwards on that side to get my wrist more in-line/neutral and the discomfort stopped while riding. (Other things kept me off the bike for most the rest of that year, and the pain/ache was still there ages after riding so another reason not to think it was caused by riding)

Coincidentally, I received these today, ordered from Amazon, which I believe to be genuine Shimano, they cost £10.95 which is cheaper than some copies.
