I'll be trying to move on my late father's e-bike shortly, and wondered where best to sell and whether they retain much value? - I'm conscious that tech probably has moved quite quickly. It's a very decent spec Ansmann hybrid/MTB - Shimano LX kit and rock shox forks etc - probably about 10 years old, but nearly ridden and immaculate. Fairly sure it was about £1500 at the time...

The brand no longer makes bikes afaik so it's a bit of an oddity. Any ideas of likely value and where best to shift it?!

PinkBike seems the popular choice on here.

Expect this thread to be deleted by those in power, i asked a similar question recently and mine was.

Anyway, PinkBike….

Thanks for that and thread still lives! I won't give details of the bike so as not to suggest advertising, but from a bit of research the marque only ventured into bikes for a year or two so it's pretty obscure, if decent! None on pinkbikes at all so probably won't be worth as much as it perceptively should!

Problem will be with a bike of that age the battery will almost certainly be degraded to the point of uselessness and procuring a replacement battery for an obsolete bike make could prove to be an almost impossible challenge ??

Actually, that aspect could be fine. It was procured via a friend who works at the company and that co is still very active in supplying motors and batteries for other marques - hopefully the leccy part of the drivetrain at least will still be pretty well supported.
