Generic LED Light Batteries?
Discussion
All, about 5 years ago I bought a couple of cheap Brite-r “Cree” LED bike lights. They’re pretty chunky (maybe 50mm diameter) and have four or five LEDs each. They came with batteries and chargers, handlebar mounts and a headband. They are great, and I’ve used them for wildlife spotting at night, and even as floodlights for bonfire nights. The battery on one seems to have died (Li-ion 8.2V 7200mAh I think).
At the time there were dozens of this type of generic light on EBay and Amazon, but a quick check seems to show they’ve mostly disappeared. Have Li-Ion batteries now been made obsolete by Li-po? Would I be better just getting new lights, rather than trying to get batteries?
Any recommendation for replacements, budget about £30.
Thanks.
