Eleglide Plus electric bike?

Friend who i used to cycle with called the other day on her new Italian £2000 + electric bike. We are both in our mid-60s and before I was very sick i was a cyclist on well worn mountain bike. I had a go on her bike and wow. Looked at some 27" electric bikes and quite liked the Elegide Plus on Pogo bikes at £629. Is it a pile of sh*t or something that I could try out and move on to better machine if it works for me? Thanks
