Twice now in the past few weeks, once on the front, once on the back tyre.

The bike is a Giant E+ Pro road e-bike, heavy old thing at circa 18kg, and its on tubeless 32mm tyres.

I store it by hanging it from a generic wall hanger by the front wheel, where both tyres rest against the wall, not the floor.

The issue is that when I open my garage to greet my bike, one of the tyres was completely flat - no air whatsoever.

So assuming I have a bad puncture, I pump it up...................and its fine, it hold pressure as normal.

Each time the flat tyre has been deformed a bit where it rests against the wall, but surely a fully inflated tyre wouldn't deform with pressure in it enough to leak air quickly?

Its the only explanation I can think of - anyone else had similar or can offer different explanations?!

when was the tubeless sealant last changed? It typically only stays effective for a year or so. could be that if the bike is hanging for a while, the sealant will run to the bottom of the tyre leaving possibly slow loss at the top? Would have to be old sealant and hanging a while though.

How old are the tyres, and do you recheck the pressure say six hours after the initial pump?
Probably 6 months old, I dont recheck them same day but always check/top up each ride.

The sealant was changed around 4 months ago. The bike had only been hung for one night this time!

I wonder if there is a slight leak against the rim or valve that if that area is at the top when I hang it, the sealant cant deal with it as its at the bottom.

When I dont need the bike later this week I might try both valves at the top of the wheel when hung and see if they deflate.

I had a tyre that only went flat when it was in the bike rack at work but not every time.

It turned out there was quite a big hole, sealing fine when riding or the bike was leant against my garage wall but opening up with the twisting action on the tyre when in the bike rack and the hole was at the bottom of the wheel.

I had to google what one was.

It's not a road bike it's a ebike. A road bike pro is half its weight.

It's the base of your valve. Air leaks out there. You'll need to reseat it/ensure the base of the valve screw is firmly tight.

It is exactly as he said, a road e-bike. It's not much use up the side of a mountain...

Soapy water will help find it.

Did you convert it to tubeless? Rim tape or valve are likely.
