I know it isn’t the TdF but should be fascinating and tough race to watch this year.

Thought they’d be a few more of the regulars signed up for the league…..

Shame a few more of the TdF regulars didn’t make it.

Strong start!

Not been able to follow too closely as on holiday, but what a mess Vuelta set up seems to be.

I’m having a bit of a disaster with abandons. Two of my riders that I chose last Thursday never even made the start line on Saturday (I’m a bit aggrieved to have had to burn points to swap them out since they never started) and Dunbar and Vine have both withdrawn.

Not much scope left for tactical changes now.

I’m lucky to have got off to a good start with no abandons.

Credits intact, not making same mistake as TdF first week.

Back off holiday, so can catch up and look at stages ahead. Will try and hold off until first rest day before any changes.

First week done. Gone way better than expected (56th in whole league at one point).

Worst stage so far today, but can’t grumble too much.

Few ideas for changes after rest day. Definitely weighting team with climbers/GC and perhaps sacrifice points on some of the sprint days until the end. GC definitely going to kick off.

Anyone else think it’s not so daft to think that if Jumbo got completely behind Kuss as leader, he could actually stand a chance overall? Main contenders still have a good 2 mins plus to catch him. If he wasn’t killing himself to support the others and instead had them leading him I think the others would have their work cut out.

Just remembered this, and joined ahead of Stage 10.

2nd week off to decent start.

Stage 12 I knew could be a difficult one with possible points loss. Inserted Ganna for 3 day special for a punt. Did the business on the TT, he did okay again on stage 11 and did expect him to come in higher today (stage 12). Not sure what happened to him yet, but the underperformance did hit the points. If not the win, thought top 3.

Groves was out for the Ganna punt and didn’t want to waste 100 credits just for one day putting him back.

Time for the big mountains now.

Interesting to see what Jumbo do with Kuss in terms of all in for him or not.

Bye bye Remco. Unexpected credit use coming up.

(Edit… maybe jumped too soon, from stage win perspective anyway!)

Remco regrets….

A decision to get rid after not just a bad day, but an abysmal day. Also fuelled by long term thoughts that he isn’t quite the real deal in terms of grand tour POG/ROG/VIN rival.

I didn’t think after such a poor day it would be such a clear cut bounce back. Though it wasn’t an all out GC day today. They didn’t care about a few minutes now.

I guess it was feasible he would simply go for stages as he’s now out of GC but didn’t think he was bouncing back to be honest.

Holding nerve would have been an inspired choice. Though I’m in no rush to put him back.

Well damn it all.

Alberto Dainese is my only sprinter. Sadly, though, I've rather taken my eye off the ball between stages, so haven't been moving my Stage Winner Bonus around the team. That was still assigned to Jonas Vingegaard.

I still claimed 1st place among fellow PHers for stage 19, but I could have done with the boost from doubling Dainese's points. Having only joined at stage 10 I'm happy to have had a 1st, a 2nd, and two 3rd places, so four podium finishes out of ten stages.

I just wish I'd signed up earlier really. With Vingegaard, Kuss and Soler on board that might have made for a fair few points in the opening nine stages, but then perhaps if I'd joined at the start I wouldn't have chosen exactly the same team as I did so I suppose I'll never know where I would stand over a full grand tour.

Another enjoyable fantasy league. It did go well, especially up to stage 11. At one point 28th in entire league… but then headed downwards at that point before ending up 507th.

Shame Giro isn’t ASO also to have the same fantasy league for all GT’s.

Pressure on for next year to keep the winning run going!!

Was close for 2nd and 3rd in the end.
