Anyone done this or planning on doing it?

I’ve never done it but entered the entry “ballot” this morning.

Fingers crossed I’ll get in. It’ll be a logistical challenge as I’m in South Wales but should be a fun challenge

Road or off road?

I've done the off road before, it was cool. But it is quite congested nowadays, it used to be far less cyclists. I had a lady cyclist elbowing me in a very narrow section at some point, very weird.

Its easy enough just one hill near the end. Biggest issues are the vast numbers of people that struggle to ride a bike in a straight line so unless you get a very early start slot there are points on the course that get really snarled up. People will be walking up Ditchling Beacon with no regard for people that want to ride up it coming past.

They won't let bikes on the train in or around Brighton so make sure you have transport back sorted (they do a coach service for ££) or be prepared to ride a fair way out of Brighton.

Good fun atmosphere on the Beach afterwards though with all the bars on the seafront.

I’ve got in which I’m chuffed with. Living in South Wales means a logistical challenge but will sort that.
