Have a few questions as I'm a bit lost irked

Stripping my bike down the other day this piece had corroded to the forks so got taken off with brut force.

The only thing I've been able to make certain of is its part of the headset hehe

But what type of headset do i have? And on asking that I think I've found the answer- standard/non integrated.sealed as no visible bearings. Picture below.

Next questions,

can I just by the "cap" pictured above?

If I need to buy a full headset do can I just buy this?
I *think* the size is 1 1/8" but will check that

https://www.tredz.co.uk/.M-Part-Comp-Threadless-He... (same brand as currently on)

Also if I'm right about having a standard headset and I need to buy the link above do I need the ring that you tap on the frame or is that part of the above link?

Sorry but I'm lost paperbag the bike is a mango fixie.dont know anymore about it as I bought it needing tlc, fallen on the first hurdle paperbag

Yes you can buy a headset top cap. But more importantly, you’ll need to reinstall the stem spacers either above or below the stem (depending on what height you want the bars to be at) so that you can clamp the whole assembly correctly. There are various videos available on YouTube.

Simply, you assemble the stem loosely onto the fork (don’t fully tighten the 2 stem bolts), then install your stem spacers, and finally install your top cap, and then tighten the top cap bolt once your bars are straight. Keep tightening until you’ve removed all free play from the system and clamped up both headset bearings. You don’t want it overnight so that the rotation of the bars is tight.

Last job is to torque up the 2 bolts on the stem, a torque rating should be printed onto it, but if not, it’s around 6Nm

The piece you're holding in the first pic looks like it sits in the upper head bearing against the steerer tube. My giant has something similar.
Upper bearing cover assembly I've seen it referred to

If that bit was corroded onto the forks, i suspect it is the race from the bottom bearing.

You need to find out the size of your upper and lower bearings (often 1-1/8" upper and then 1-1/8" or 1-1/4" lower) and buy a headset to suit.

You will probably need to tap out the old bearings with a hammer and drift/old screwdriver and then the new ones should tap in. There are plenty of youtube videos showing the process, but if you really aren't sure take it to a bike shop. Poorly installed or adjusted head bearings could fail in a very dramatic and painful fashion.
And like the previous poster said, you need to fit spacers on your stem (or cut the stem down) otherwise the top cap won't actually adjust the bearings.
