Just wondered if anyone had any experience of using an app for doing a bike fit?

I fully appreciate they will not be as good as spending a couple of hundred pounds with an expert.

Myvelofit
Bikefastfit

Any recommendations? Or just carry on with a fiddle with one adjustment and go for a ride approach?

I had to lose some er weight shall we say....

never one for gyms, or the like but decided on the bike route. cheeky wee phone app strava did the trick. Could keep track of distance time and the like.

I will say decent bike even an electric, just for the hills mind... and get out there. find your route find your time and Ill tell you the weight loss takes care of itself.

strava is free with limitations but it still does the trick

OP (a long time ago) was asking about app for doing a 'bikefit', not getting fit.

We used myvelofit for my wife, made a huge difference to her comfort - the saddles were far too low on all of her bikes (road, gravel, mtb)
I don't think she would have ever got round to booking an in life one unless she could find a female fitter
